Have you been following the recently settled lawsuit against the National Association of Realtors (NAR)? Some are predicting that it is the “biggest change to the housing market in a century.” The long and short of it is “The 6% commission on buying or selling a home is gone after Realtors association agrees to seismic settlement,” and that this is “a sweeping move expected to dramatically reduce the cost of buying and selling a home.” Read the full article below, and let me know what you think! Biggest change to the housing market in a century!
The argument for buyers to negotiate their agent’s commission directly brings a new level of transparency and competition to the market
I am all for lower costs for home buyers and sellers. I think that if the settlement causes a lot of upheaval in the industry, it will smooth out and over all be a good thing.
